Last but not least, the song that garnered the most attention. You'd wonder why in the hell we would leave it for last.
I honestly forgot the reason
for that, but it all had to do with the sequence of the album feel.
The verse to this song was sung and written completely different from the final studio version.
I was unable to clearly reach the notes I had in mind during the live
shows. So this song scared the shit out of me, when it took an entire session to figure that out.
I keep melodies and song ideas on my phone as voice recordings.
So on the way to the studio to try and tackle the failed attempts
I decided to try different melodies I had kept on hand to see if one fit.
I finally found one that surprisingly fit better than expected.
So I wrote new lyrics for the verse in the parking lot
before going in. And somehow, someway it came together.
I won't explain the lyrics since they were written for a particular
scenario in the past that a friend was in.
but its a great song and very relate-able.
This caused people to sing :
"I don't care about your new tattoo"!
out loud to me, often.
This song gave us a direction to lean towards.
And I think judging by how well this song did,
our new material is going to go very well.
Thank you guys for reading and having interest
in our shitty stories. Thank you for a year
of support, and we thank this album, for
getting to meet some really cool new people
that found our music enjoyable.
If it all ended today, I would consider this band a success.
